The right to display the ASCA logo on your personal business cards, headed paper, brochures, etc to denote that you are part of an international organisation dedicated to improving worldwide co-operation and preparedness. Membership of ASCA is currently available in four (4) categories:
Membership of the first two levels is valid only upon the payment of the required Annual Membership Fee for the current membership year. The membership year begins on July 1st each year. Members will receive a numbered membership card, certificate, digital logo (for inclusion on letterheads etc.) and enamel badge Application for membership may be made on line on this website or by mail to the ASCA address below. Applications must be accompanied by the relevant fee, preferably paid via Paypal. Senior MembersSenior membership is designed for individuals with significant and recognised experience in the many facets of spill response. Senior members must have at least ten (12) years of spill response or related experience. Applications for Senior Membership are welcome from ASCA members who satisfy the above criteria and applications should be accompanied by a resume stating relevant experience. Note this may be checked or otherwise validated. Senior members can attend the ASCA Annual General Meeting and have full voting rights at that meeting and in the election of ASCA Management Committee members. MembersOrdinary Membership is intended for individuals with a professional interest in the spill control who wish to keep up to date with technology, methods and other knowledge. Members are individuals who are working in a spill response or related position but who have less than ten (10) years of relevant spill response experience. Ordinary Members are eligible to seek election to the ASCA management Committee but not to the ASCA Board. Student and Associate MembersStudent Membership is open to all individuals who attend a tertiary academic institution. Applications for Student Membership should be accompanied by proof of studentship (photo ID stating academic institution). Associate membership is open to any individual with an interest in spill response. Student and Associate members may not enter the Members pages but will receive newsletters, notifications of downloads etc. Life MembershipLife Membership of the Association will be offered to ASCA members or senior members, who the ASCA Board considers have made significant contributions to the Association or to spill response. The Board will invite individuals to become Life members at no fee, and such membership will confer the full rights and benefits of Senior Membership. Membership Fees
